Steve DeMaestri
Lately as I have been thinking
about my graduation. I have also
been reminiscing my various memories of the past three years. As
I look back, I see that Bal was good
to me. What I have gained from
Bal could never be repaid. I not
only gained valuable knowledge,
but also learned the importance of
spirit and loyalty. These two
words can never be defined, for you
have to feel them inside. This
feeling just seems to stay with you,
you just can't seem to forget about
it. At Bal spirit is a tradition and
will continue to be as long as the
school stands. I never really realized and you probably won't either
until it is your turn to graduate,
the importance of school. All I can
say is do your best and have fun
for if you do you will never regret
it and you will look back at your
three years at Bal with fond memories. Good-Bye and Good-Luck.

Boys' Rep.
Gary Gee
Many things have been said about
this class. Some statements good
and others bad. Those statements
which were bad were usually glorified and exaggerated. Those statements which were good were either
little heard of or never heard of at
all. But in all, it was a very
stressful high senior year ,
because there was loyal spirit,
student participation, and student
support. I have enjoyed it, and
would like to thank the class for
their loyal support and co-operation to their officers during their
last semester at Bal. I also would
like to thank the officers. H-12
officers for their service for the
class, and especially thanks to the
two most well deserving officers,
Kenny Green, and Phyllis Harris,
who really strived for our very
successful high senior year with
loyal service and hard work for
their class by giving up their spare
time to fulfill their services. It is
my sincere hope that in the years
to come and at our class reunion,
when we look back at the joys and
laughter which we had lived
through during our last semester
at Bal, was an experience which
each of us will never forget,

Girls' Rep
To Balboa;

I Would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt thanks to all the members of the graduating class for electing me H-12 girl's representative. With all your help and cooperation you've made this a very successful semester.

I would especially like to thank
Kenny, Gary Gee, Enna Buenrostro
and Mr. Marino, my reg. teacher
for all their guiding advice through
the year.

I'll miss Bal and all the groovy
times I've had, b u t I plan to have
more fun in the future. I hope that
all the students in Bal contribute
to the advancement of student
leadership and carry on the tradition
of the class and high spirit that has
made Balboa "First on the Pacific.'
Goodbye,
Kathy Taylor
Class President

Kenneth Green

The past three years at Balboa
has been the most enjoyable years
of my life. There were some
hardships but they were of a limited
few. To the Fall '67 Senior Class,
the senior year has been the most
memorable. In our low senior year
we won our first AAA Championship
title in basketball, and made the
soccer and baseball finals. We
won the track championship the
last two years in a row.

Now comes the Senior Year,
and the first activity was the Senior
Picnic at Turtle Rock Ranch. The
Varsity Football Championship
comes to Balboa, the first time in
a decade. We had an underdog
rating by the papers but we changed
their minds after the third game,
went through the entire season un-
defeated and untied.

The most important thing I will
remember while at Balboa was to
be involved in Student government
by serving as class president one
full year.

The most valuable material thing
that I am taking away from Balboa
is Kenneth Richard Green.

S.A. Vice President
Joyce Castellano

It's hard to believe that graduation is here. I can look back and remember how it seemed like end-
less years of waiting before I would
reach my destiny of being a High &
Mighty Senior of Balboa.

The role of a high senior creates many happy memories for me
which I will never forget, but an-
other thrilling experience in my
stay at Bal was being able to serve
as Student Body Vice President for
such a great school.

I would like to thank everyone
for expressing enthusiasm in the
student government and various
activities, you have proved that
Bal is "First on the Pacific" by
supporting and participating in
school functions and by attending
the games.

Class Treasurer

Phyllis Harris

The high school years of the
Fall Class of 1967 are drawing to
a close. It is with regret that we
leave this wonderful place to go our
separate ways. We have experienced the great events of these
three years such as Move-Up, the
Senior picnic, football games, and
and the Senior Ball. It is our turn
to step down from the pedestal of
being a High n' Mighty and make
room for the next class. We have
had our fun and excitement and now
it is their turn. A message to
those coming  make  the most
of your school years--they come
and go all too quickly. Balboa is
rich in tradition--participate in all
of these traditions and you will
build memories as strong as ours.

To my class. I would like to
say that it has been a pleasure
serving you . May, the path of life
which each of you follows be one
of happiness and joy. Good luck
to each one of you.

Class Secretary F67

The past three years started
out slow but ended all to fast.
During my stay here at Bal, I have
accumulated a lot of experiences
and life long memories.

Everyone says your best school
year will be your last one, its true.
There will be just so many activities
to do that you'll wonder where you
will get the time or energy.

Since this is supposed to be a
farewell note, all I can say is that
whether you are a sophomore, junior
Or Senior, make the most of your
time especially if you're a high-n
mightie.

Class Vice President
Enna Buenrostro
Well it's almost the end of a very
short, yet successful term. I will
be graduating soon, and someone
else will have the honor of being
Vice-President of the High Senior
Class.

I want all of you to know that I've
enjoyed being your Vice-president
and that It was really a lot of fun.
It has given me a lot of satisfaction
to know that I've been of service to
others. Being able to offer your
services to others is a wonderful
thing; I know because you, Balboa,
gave me that chance.

There is one thing I wish that
you would remember: no matter
whom you put in office, even if you
feel that this person is not qualified
for the job—support him. When you
support your officers, (Class or
school) you support Bal.

All of you, the students, the
teachers, my fellow officers, have
made my term in office a very successful one. Most of all, you have
brought me happiness and I want to
thank you. I love you, Balboa!

Best Dressed

Diane Zito is the best dressed
girl of the graduating class. When
she was told that she was picked,
she was really quite surprised.

While here at Bal, Diane has been
a part of the dance committee and
the breakfast committee.

Diane told us that her future
include going to City College, being
an airline stewardess or a secretary.

When asked her most memorable
experiences at Bal, she answered
that they were the football games,
Move-up, and the Move-up party.

As Diane departs from our school
her final words are "I hope
everyone has as much fun as I did
in my Senior year.
